By its filed decision, the High Court of Cassation and Justice ruled to repeal the legal stipulations by means of which companies having their headquarters in Romania were required to pay a monthly fee for public services of radio and TV.
So far all legal entities established in Romania, including their subsidiaries as well as their branches and other subunits without legal personality and their branches or representative offices in Romania of foreign legal entities, were required to pay a monthly fee for public service of broadcasting and television, regardless if they were or not the beneficiaries of these services.
Since its publication in the Official Gazette of the present decision, companies not longer due broadcasting radio-TV tax, regardless if they have or not radio or TV receivers.
