According to the changes the unemployment benefit will no longer refer to the minimum wage but will be calculated according to the reference value of the social indicator that, at the moment, is 500 lei.
In addition, the individuals who, on the date of application for their right, refuse a job suitable to their qualification, whether this job is or not at a distance longer than 50 km from their residence, or refuse to participate in services to foster employment and vocational training provided by the employment agencies, they will no longer qualify for the unemployment allowance.
This Ordinance shall come into force starting from January 1st 2011.
