There has been introduced a new contribution representing a penalty in the amount of 100 Euros, the equivalent in RON at the exchange rate indicated by the National Bank of Romania on May 1st of the year, for each ton of carbon dioxide emitted, paid by the operator or by the aircraft operator which has not returned the certificates of greenhouse gas emissions corresponding to the greenhouse gas emissions generated in the previous year, according to the law in force.
These penalties are determined by decision and are paid according to the date they are communicated, as follows:
The operators that place retail packaging and packaged goods on the national market still owe a contribution of 2 lei/kg for the difference between the amount of waste packaging corresponding to the objectives of exploitation and the quantities of packaging waste actually exploited.
