Financial incentives for companies that hire graduates and unemployed persons
Companies that hire graduates and unemployed persons will receive for a period of 12 months, for each person employed, grants of RON 900, comparing to RON 750 and, respectively, RONĀ 500 until December 2016, according to the ordinance 60 / 2016.
Criteria for according grants in case the companies employ:
- graduates of educational institutions, for an indefinite period of time(grant award period reaches 18 months if the graduates are disabled)
- unemployed persons aged at least 45 years old, unemployed who are single parent families and supporters of long-term of their families
- persons between 16 and 24 years old who do not have a job, do not attend a form of education, do not participate in training activities
Employers that cease employment relationships earlier than 18 months must reimburse the complete amounts received for each person (plus interest rate of the National Bank of Romania).
Another measure refers to the employers hiring unemployed persons that have five years until retirement. Employers that maintain labor relationship during this period can receive a monthly grant of RON 900.Criteria for graduates
- The graduates employ for a period longer than 12 months, for full-time job, within 12 months from the date of graduation;
- The graduates were not employed at the date of graduation or during the period between the date of graduation and the date of employment
- The graduates were not employed by the same employer in the last 2 years
do not attend any form of education.
Criteria for unemployed persons
- they are registered at the employment agencies, they do not receive unemployment compensation, in case they employ for a full time job for a period exceeding three months and have never received a grant in the past 12 months
- They were not in labor relationships with the same employers in the last 12 months
The employers cannot be eligible for grants in case:
- They are required by law to hire graduates of educational institutions
- they were in labor relationships with graduates of educational institutions, in the last 2 years
- They are managers / associates (shareholders) at one or more legal persons that have already received at least one financial facility for graduates and unemployed and the labor relationships were ceased because of employees resignation in last 2 years
- they are in procedures of insolvency , reorganization, bankruptcy, dissolution, liquidation or special administration, with suspended or restricted activities.
Subsidies are not granted for periods in which labor relationships are suspended.
